Currently the Heidi Search Center provides the following support to San Antonio and surrounding areas, and volunteers are always needed to assist with these tasks. Educational speaking engagements, which improves the safety of children and instructs their parents on how to protect themselves from abduction in and away from home.
The center provides free educational material and fingerprinting events for schools, churches, and civic organizations targeted by the children’s and adults age groups. We are constantly requested for various events at various locations throughout the weekday and on weekends, and always need individuals to assist with them.
In your own neighborhood you can make a huge difference reaching parents and children by simply handing out educational booklets and talking to your neighbor’s about safety and abduction prevention. The information you give your neighbors, friends, and children will be the most important information they will ever learn. By being educated and aware, it is the most powerful tool a child will possess in the fight against child predators. The center is also always in need of dedicated volunteers for ground searches and training will be provided on what to do, and expect, in the event of abduction. No prior experience is required, but always welcome.
If you are not physically able to join in on a ground search, volunteers are needed to maintain and assist in command post operations. Assisting with food and water distribution, first aide, and general support for searchers is just as an important part of our operations as the physical search itself.
If you are interested or feel you have some experience that would be vital to the Heidi Search Center, please give us a call, email, or download and fill out the volunteer application below. Please include your name, address, and telephone number in all correspondence.
