Kate Shields
Kate Shields is the Executive Director at The Heidi Search Center, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas. In her twelve years with the center, Ms. Shields has proven herself to be one of the leading experts in missing persons’ cases. From July 2006 to 2010, she served on the Board of Directors for the Association of Missing and Exploited Children’s Organizations. Since 2004, Ms. Shields has received extensive training in missing and exploited children issues through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Association of Missing and Exploited Children’s Organizations, Fox Valley Technical College and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. She also attended the U.S. Department of Justice’s 2011 Children’s Justice & Safety: Unite, Build, Lead national conference in National Harbor, Maryland. In 2010, she was a writing consultant and presenter for the publication Missing Persons: Volunteers Supporting Law Enforcement for International Association of Chiefs of Police. Ms. Shields’ primary objective is to bring awareness to parents and children about child predators in their communities and on the internet regarding the prevention of child abduction. She speaks on missing children awareness and prevention to educators and social workers, as well as Runaway Prevention to middle school aged students throughout South Texas. Her presentation, “Keeping our Kids Safe”, is a powerful tool needed to safeguard children from predators. Ms. Shields lives in Cibolo, Texas with her husband, John.
Alisa Reynolds

Alisa Reynolds is the Funding Coordinator and Second Case Worker at the Heidi Search Center, Inc. She started volunteering at the center in February 2011 and transitioned into her role in September 2011. Ms. Reynolds focuses on funding and visibility opportunities for the Center to ensure that all of its services remain free of charge. Ms. Reynolds worked as a financial adviser in Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Texas in 2006 to pursue her studies at Texas A&M University – San Antonio. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2010 and is completing her Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management this year at Our Lady of the Lake University. Alisa lives in San Antonio with her husband and two children.
